ABOUT OUR REMOTE WORK SPACES
Immersio Media, a CGI studio located in Portland, Oregon, has completed projects for authors, small businesses, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations. The owner and lead artist, Stacey Sherwood, is a Navy veteran who holds a BA in Game Art and Development. With over eleven years of experience in modeling and texturing CGI assets, she also specializes in web and graphic design.
Since the pandemic, and with the increasing impacts of climate change on the world, working from home has become more crucial than ever. Our mission is threefold:
1. To fight climate change by getting more people to work from home
2. To provide remote workspaces that are more fun and secure than video conferencing.
3. To make it easy for companies to use VR for internal meetings
We selected Second Life as our VR platform because it is the most established and well-developed in the industry, with over 20 years of online presence. The Second Life viewer is free to download and doesn’t necessitate costly headsets or equipment. However, the learning curve may deter companies looking for quick solutions. To address this, we offer pre-configured workspaces and instruction for new users on navigating the platform. With our assistance, you can conduct a successful virtual meeting from day one.
