FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why should we use a VR work space over Zoom?
We would never suggest giving up video conferencing! Rather, we recommend adding our virtual world environment to your remote work toolbox. These tools are synergistic when used in tandem and will increase team cohesion over time.
Why should we join one of your plans rather than buying our own land?
On your own, you'd spend a minimum of $75 a month for enough land to be able to create a reasonable work environment, and then you'd have to build it and buy furnishings and meeting tools.. Our plans are as little as $8.99 a month and we provide everything for you as well as handle all the environment changes and special event decorating for you throughout the year.
Won't we need expensive headsets and controllers?
No! One of the main reasons we build our work environments in Second Life is how accessible it is to anyone with a decent computer. Accounts are free, as is the software viewer you'll need to download. To navigate in the virtual world, all you need is a keyboard and a mouse.
How do I reserve a meeting space?
- If you haven't yet, you and your meeting attendees need to register for a free Second Life account. (We need your usernames to be able to grant you access to the Island.)
- Choose the membership plan that best suits your needs and pay the subscription fee.
- Fill out a reservation request at least three days before you need a spot.
- We'll check the schedule and confirm within 24 hours.
